We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Control Panel Builder to join our growing team at UK ICS. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels to a high standard, contributing directly to the quality and reliability that our clients expect.
As part of our panel shop team, you’ll work on a wide variety of industrial control projects, following wiring diagrams and build documentation to produce panels that meet technical and safety standards. You’ll also support the workshop’s organisation, contribute to process improvements, and uphold best practices in quality and cleanliness.

We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual with experience in control panel assembly or industrial electrical wiring—someone who values craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assembling and wiring control panels to schematic and layout drawings
- Terminating cables, mounting components, and routing wiring neatly and safely
- Assisting in electrical testing and fault-finding during panel completion
- Keeping workstations clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety protocols

Collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure panel build accuracy

Contributing ideas for continuous improvement in panel build efficiency and quality
Must Have
- Experience in control panel build
- Understanding of control and safety circuits
- High standard of wiring finish, including neat cable routing, ferrule crimping, and labelling
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams without supervision
- General Computer Skills and be familiar with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- Proactive and have a "get it done" spirit
- Must be able to adopt, Implement & Comply with all Company Health & Safety requirements
- Organised and with high attention to detail
Nice to have
- Familiarity with PLCs and I/O modules
- Valid ECS/CSCS Card
- Ability to perform basic electrical testing – continuity, insulation resistance, function testing
- Previous involvement in site installation or panel commissioning support

Experience using Odoo, or other ERP/work order systems
- Willingness to assist with site install occasionally
- Experience working in manufacturing, automation, or industrial control systems environments

Remuneration Package
Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
