Join UK ICS as Our New Electrical Installation Lead
This is a diverse and rewarding role for an experienced electrician who’s ready to step into a leadership position—while still remaining hands-on. As Electrical Installation Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and executing industrial electrical installation projects from start to finish, working closely with site teams, suppliers, and the Project Manager.
Your role will involve a balance of site-based installation work (80%) and administrative coordination (20%). You’ll be the key point of contact for organising and delivering each job successfully. This includes:
- Planning, ordering, and organising installation materials required for each project.
-
Working hands-on across UK sites, with occasional overseas travel, alongside in-house team members and subcontractors
- Ensuring work is completed on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Maintaining clear communication with clients and providing regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Carrying out full installation activities, including:
- Tray work and cable management systems
- Running and terminating power and control cables
- Sensor installation (e.g. proximity switches, encoders, safety devices)
- Variable speed drive (VSD) replacements and associated wiring
- Pre-commissioning I/O checks and system verification
You’ll play a critical part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of installations, with a focus on quality, health and safety, and customer satisfaction. The role suits someone who is technically strong, highly organised, and confident leading people and resources on active sites.
We’re looking for someone who is independent, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of installations without needing constant supervision—someone who can represent UK ICS with professionalism and initiative on every job.
